Who Is Debora: Debora Hynds-Smith is a staff nurse at Jacobi Medical Center in the Pediatric Emergency Department and she is also an Assistant at PATHHSEO. She began her career in 1983 as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Harlem Hospital Emergency Department, in which she learned the foundations of nursing. This experience encouraged her to seek higher education and to further develop her professional capacity.  She obtained her License as a Registered Nurse in 1998 and began her work with mothers’ and children at “Regeneration –Treatment Center for Women and Children, Bronx NY in 1998.  She returned to school and obtained a Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree, from the College Of New Rochelle in 2003. She gained valuable experience as a staff nurse working at Kirby Forensics in Wards Island, NY, during this time.
